Question: How do the words and deeds of Islamic terrorists, or Muslims who call for acts of terror and violence, emulate the words and deeds of Muhammad?

“When the apostle [Muhammad] rejoined his family he handed his sword to his daughter Fatima, saying, ‘Wash the blood from this, daughter, for by God it has served me well today.’” (Ishaq, 389) Terrorist acts, and criminal acts of violence or calls to violence - which may or may not fit some scholars or policy makers definition of terrorism (Hoffman, 30, 33) have plagued the modern era of international terrorism since 1968 (Hoffman, 62). Three main wellsprings have been the source of this epidemic of violence: ethno-Nationalist movements (including secessionist movements), Marxist-Leninist organizations, and religious terrorist groups (Hoffman, 84, 85).

Osama bin Ladens Global Islamism and Wahhabi Islam

There has recently been much speculation as to what sort of relationship exists between Osama bin Laden’s militant Islamist network, al Qaeda, and Wahhabism – the form of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia. Some have denied any relationship whatsoever,1 others have alleged material cooperation between al Qaeda and the Saudi authorities,2 and still others have linked Wahhabi Islam with global terrorism on the basis of a supposedly shared ‘extremism’ or ‘intolerance’.3 The most sophisticated commentary has tended to focus on allegations of doctrinal similarities between the brand of Islam espoused by bin Laden and the teachings of earlier Muslim authorities such as ibn Taymiyya – a thirteenth century Syrian scholar – or Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab...

Sejarah Naskah Al Qur'an dan Alkitab

Why do Muslims Believe that Muhammad

The final messenger sent to mankind was a man born in Makkah named Muhammad ibn ‘Abdillaah (). Although many Westerners generally accept that the likes of Abraham (), Moses () and Jesus () were prophets of God, they have trouble accepting that Muhammad () was a prophet of God too. This has very much to do with the fact that their ancestors did not accept the message of the final prophet, and consequently, they do not regard him as being a prophet of God either. This fact is clearly reflected in the books of Western academics, as well as the mainstream Western media. It is not uncommon to hear Prophet Muhammad () being referred to as the “Founder of Islam,” 1 or more overtly, as “the prophet Muhammad, who authored the Quran.” 2 If it can be proven that the Prophet Muhammad () was an impostor who falsely claimed to be receiving divine revelation, the whole message of Islaam becomes invalidated. Once it can be agreed upon that the author of the Qur’aan “can be taken to be Muhammad himself,” 3 it becomes easy to dismiss the religion of Islaam as being solely a man‐made religious tradition from the past that is better left ignored.
