INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: The Universal engine mounts are designed for use on all types of 4WD and 2WD vehicles that have frame rail widths up to 28". The frame brackets can be used in either the upward or downward position for best engine location. The brackets should be used in the inverted position on Toyota 4WD truck and Jeep Wrangler conversions. In the inverted position, the rubber bushings will sit at the bottom of the bracket and will allow the block mounts to fit between the frame rails. Your kit includes two short engine mounts so that the extensions will fit inside the frame rails. Several holes have been stamped in each motor bracket to allow the engine to be offset or centered in the frame rail. On 4WD Toyota conversions, it is best to offset the engine 1" towards the driver's side. The offset is designed to help front driveshaft clearance.
