AP Calculus BC Syllabus

AP Calculus BC Syllabus Course Overview: BC Calculus is for students successfully completing course prerequisites: Honors
Precalculus, Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Geometry and Algebra 1. Students will learn the material
through exploration (cooperative tasks and graphing calculator), experimentation, lecture, and application to
real-world situations. Students are expected to be able to represent their mathematical learning through
problem solving, demonstration of analytical calculus skills (limits, differentiation, integration, polynomial
approximation, etc.), numerical and graphical representation via computer programs or the TI-84 graphing
calculator, and verbally, through reflection of test results and journal writing about conceptual understanding.
